Empowering People, Launching lives

Community Fundraising and Events Officer

Permanent, full-time

Are you ready to make a real impact?

At BeyondAutism, we believe in empowering autistic children and young adults with the skills and independence to lead fulfilling lives. As our Community Fundraising and Events Officer, you’ll play a key role in driving our mission forward—developing creative and engaging fundraising initiatives that build strong community connections and generate vital income for our life-changing services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and ambitious fundraiser who thrives on relationship-building and delivering exceptional events. You’ll be at the heart of our fundraising efforts, working with local businesses, community groups, and individuals to inspire support, grow our event portfolio, and cultivate long-term champions for our cause.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and grow our community fundraising and challenge events programme, increasing participation and income.
  • Build lasting relationships with community groups, corporate partners, and individual fundraisers to maximise engagement and long-term support.
  • Bring ideas to life, supporting the creation of compelling fundraising materials, digital campaigns, and engaging content to inspire donors.
  • Manage fundraising platforms, ensuring supporters have the tools they need to maximise their impact.
  • Be a champion for BeyondAutism, representing the charity at events, networking opportunities, and community engagements.
  • Support data-driven decision-making, keeping accurate records of fundraising activities and tracking income to meet ambitious targets.

What we’re looking for

  • A passionate and results-driven fundraiser with at least two years’ experience in community fundraising, events, or a related role.
  • A natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills, able to engage supporters from all walks of life.
  • A creative thinker who loves to bring new ideas to fundraising campaigns.
  • Highly organised and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
  • Confident using fundraising databases and digital tools to manage supporter engagement.
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends for events (with time off in lieu).

What we offer

  • A dynamic and supportive team environment, where your ideas and contributions are truly valued.
  • Hybrid working options to support work-life balance.
  • Generous benefits, including a pension scheme, season ticket and bicycle loans, eye care vouchers, and access to Perkbox for exclusive discounts.
  • Professional development opportunities, including further education, industry memberships, and ongoing training.
  • The chance to see first-hand the impact of your work, transforming lives through autism education and support.
