About the role

As a Behaviour Analyst, you’ll play a leading role in supporting autistic learners by:

  • Overseeing the education and progress of pupils in your class, ensuring individualised curriculum plans and behaviour strategies are developed and effectively implemented.
  • Providing ongoing training, guidance, and demonstrations to Teaching and Learning Practitioners (TLPs), Advanced Skills Practitioners (ASPs), and other staff members in Behaviour Analysis principles.
  • Monitoring pupil progress through assessments, creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and adapting teaching strategies as required.
  • Developing behaviour reduction plans using the principles of Behaviour Analysis, ensuring these are monitored and updated regularly.
  • Working with the interdisciplinary team, liaising with Occupational, Speech and Language Therapists and Qualified Teachers to incorporate targets into each learner’s programme
  • Collaborating with parents to provide training, discuss progress, and address concerns.
  • Attending meetings such as Annual Reviews, Special Educational Needs Tribunals, and team discussions to support student welfare.
  • Ensuring the classroom is well-managed, with effective communication and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Promoting pupil independence and safeguarding their wellbeing, including managing care plans and risk assessments.

 

About you

  • Education: Master’s in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Completed BCaBA/BCBA certification.
  • Experience: At least two years in Behaviour Analysis. Experience in Special needs education setting desirable.
  • Skills: Programme development, assessment, behavioural interventions, team management, theoretical and practical training, excellent communication, calm under pressure

Salary: £35,648 - £47,771 dependent upon experience

Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday, 4:00pm finish on a Friday!)
