Park House Sensory Garden Renovation 9th July 2019 Recently we’ve been raising funds to renovate the garden space attached to our Early Years Foundation Stage classrooms (ages 4-7) at Park House School. With work taking place during half-term and equipment arriving shortly afterwards we’re delighted to share with you the newly refurbished sensory garden. The project included resurfacing the garden and fitting the area with specialist equipment which will create a fun and engaging place for our pupils to learn and play. The equipment provides a new range of learning opportunities from building peer relationships to developing motor skills. With beach huts, slides, water play and chalkboards the space has been completely transformed for our pupils. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has been involved in the fundraising process and helped to raise over £10,000 for the project. Special thanks to the following Trusts for supporting the project: The Hedley Foundation: £3000 Span Trust: £3900 Andrew Robertson & his sponsors (challenge event): £3400 The new garden has become an instant hit with the pupils who have loved playing with the new equipment since coming back after half-term.
