We’re delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chair of Governors and Chair of Post-19 Advisory Board. Audrey and Will bring with them a combined 60 years of experience across the education sector. We look forward to the expertise they will bring to the posts.
Audrey Pantelis – Chair of Governors
Audrey’s career in education as teacher, middle leader, senior leader and head of school in both mainstream and special educational needs spans over thirty years. She gained her National Professional Qualification in Headship (NPQH) in 2007. She was the founding Head of a free Special school in north-west London where she led the school through its first Ofsted inspection, where it gained a ‘Good with outstanding features’ judgement.
Audrey is an accredited Resilient Leaders Elements leadership coach and she also works with schools and organisations in developing and implementing positive, systemic changes with regards to racial diversity and inclusive practices. She has supported SEND schools with interim leadership support since 2019, and is passionate about supporting staff in their ability to further improve the life chances of children and young people. She is a member of the governing body of Rugby School.
Will Glover – Chair of Post-19 Advisory Board
Currently Head of Education and Qualifications at The Royal College of Surgeons, in his almost 30 years in education Will has worked in the Primary, Secondary, FE and HE sectors, in the maintained and independent sectors and in day and boarding schools. Will has held a number of NED positions in schools and charities including Headway Surrey. Living himself with an ABI (Acquired Brain Injury), he has been highly active in this role as a vocal advocate for the empowerment of those living with ABI to be given every opportunity to live full and engaging lives in which they have choice, control, independence and opportunity.
Both Audrey and Will are excited to be taking on their new roles and look forward to meeting other board members, staff and families and getting started in the team.
