Now that the strategy for the charity has been set for the future, Professor David Croisdale-Appleby is stepping down as Chair of Trustees to concentrate on his policy influencing work and his academic research in the medical, health and social care fields. His last day in post will be 31st January 2023.
David will continue to be a staunch advocate for the furtherance of the wellbeing and educational opportunities for autistic children and young adults and a good friend of our charity, BeyondAutism.
Angus Johnston, who joined as a Trustee in February 2019, will step up as Interim Chair of Trustees from 1st February 2023, while we undertake recruitment for a new Chair. Over the last 4 years Angus has brought a wealth of financial expertise to the Charity; his knowledge and understanding of our organisation means he is ideally suited to step into this role.
Tracie Coultas-Pitman, CEO of BeyondAutism said:
“It has been a pleasure to get to know David and I am delighted he will remain a friend to the organisation. I’d like to express my thanks to David for his guidance and support. I look forward to working with Angus through this interim period to ensure we continue to lead autism education, ensuring that autistic children and young adults access an education that empowers a life full of independence, opportunity and choice.”
