BeyondAutism at the Wandsworth Autism Fayre

On Tuesday we really enjoyed our day exhibiting at the Wandsworth Autism Fayre at Tooting Leisure Centre. The event was part of World Autism Awareness Month and was aimed at parents, carers, professionals, childminders, homeschooling, tutors, adults with additional needs.

As well as the stand we also had two speaking opportunities in the afternoon. Our Senior Occupational Therapist and our Speech and Language Therapist spoke together about the role of an OT and SaLT in school and how parents can support skill building and the development of individual programmes at home. And following them two of our ABA Supervisors spoke about teaching feminine hygiene and self-care skills to individuals with developmental disorders.
