Course overview
- This CPD-certified course is an advanced look at behaviour, and is a follow on from the introduction to behaviour analysis training. To take this course, you must have completed Introduction to behaviour analysis. If you have an equivalent qualification and wish to take this course, get in touch with outreach@beyondautism.org.uk to discuss your options
- The course is designed to provide the participant with an increased understanding of behaviour and how to support learners in the classroom
- It will take around 6-8 hours to compete

By the end of this course you will:
- Build upon your existing knowledge and understanding around the individual needs and behaviours of autistic learners
- Understand how differences in sensory processing can impact how an autistic learner copes within the classroom/school environment
- Learn how positive behaviour support can be implemented as a school wide model
- Learn how to create a supportive and structured classroom environment tailored to autistic learners
- Develop proactive strategies to reduce the likelihood of behaviours that challenge
- Gain practical tools to de-escalate and manage behaviours that challenge
- Build confidence in promoting positive interactions and communication
