The National Autistic Society is offering a Befriending and Mentoring Scheme, allowing people of any age to find a potential friend, whether in person or online, with shared interests. They may attempt to match two befrienders of a similar age, known as ‘buddying’. As well as people with autism, this service may also be used by their family or carers.
