29th February 2016
Rainbow School held its first Careers and Pathways Event on Monday 29th February. The evening was a great success, with a wealth of information available for parents and students from a range of services, organisations, education providers and individuals who support young people through Post 14 education and beyond.
We are very grateful to All4Kids, Stepping On Out, South Thames College/The Aurora Centre, Lambeth Mencap, Lambeth Local Offer, Hellen Okello, Care4Me, Home from Home Care, Carshalton College, Heart’ n’ Soul and Lewisham & South College for hosting stands at the event.
We are also particularly grateful to staff at the Octopus Foundation for donating refreshments and providing volunteers for the evening, and to M&S Southfields for donating wine for the event.
David Anthony, Head of Upper School said –
“We were delighted to see so many parents and young people engage with our first event of this type. Providing high aspirations and positive outcomes for our young people is an absolute priority for all the staff at Rainbow School. We hope the event enabled people to be signposted in the right direction in finding more information on Post 14 provision and beyond! We are thankful for all the support we received in organising the event, and look forward to seeing it grow in the future.”
