What's been happening at BeyondAutism…

Black Lives Matter

15th June 2020

The death of George Floyd in America, and the global Black Lives Matter movement, has rightly made us all stop and think. It is never enough to simply be outraged by racism, or any discrimination, it is our responsibility to build an equitable system together. ‘The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good people to do nothing’.

At BeyondAutism two of our values are Proud to Challenge and Respect – they are at the core of our being. As an organisation we are anti-discrimination and we live this through our ethos, culture, policies, curriculum and the fundamental belief that every individual is treated with dignity and afforded the opportunities to achieve. We are not only asking whether or not we are doing enough, we are Proud to Challenge our version of “enough” and to take positive actions towards change, ensuring that anti-racism is embedded in everything we do.
