BeyondAutism Outreach support

The BeyondAutism Outreach offer is completely tailored to your provision* and your needs. From support with a specific learner, to all staff training, and everything in between, we’re here to help. Below are just some of the assessments and interventions we can offer.

Assessments & pre-visit support
  • Inclusion support for schools including autism-friendly classroom observations
  • Meetings with the team around the child: parents, SENDCo, TA, Therapists
  • Functional behaviour assessment
  • School refusal assessment scale for learners not attending school
  • Historical and current document review (EHCP, CAMHS, IEP)
  • On-site visits and observations with the learner to assess what intervention is needed

 

Interventions

  • INSET training on topics tailored to your needs; including autism, communication, behaviour
  • 1:1 training and direct classroom support for TA’s or Teachers
  • BeyondAutism support attending network meetings and annual reviews for learners
  • Behaviour support plans – from creation, to training on how to implement, and reviewing data
  • Data reporting on all interventions with full review
  • Support with emotional regulation, EBSA and wellbeing plans
  • Social communication groups established within schools
  • Direct Behaviour Analytical work supporting in class – self-help, communication, mental health
  • Inclusion support in the classroom
  • Transition support into new settings, changing year groups, leaving education
  • Person-centred planning

 

Each outreach programme is a completely unique solution. We create bespoke interventions on a case by case basis to ensure you and your learner(s) are getting the support you need. This could include any number of combinations of the assessments and interventions listed above. Here are a couple of examples of what our support can look like.

Example 1 (individual learner transition):   Example 2 (whole school support):
Autumn term (1 day a week)

  • Direct sessions with the learner, working on functional communication and emotional regulation
7 days Autumn term

  • Full staff INSET training – autism strategies in the classroom
  • Weekly social communication groups for years 7-9
  • Weekly 1:1 sessions for years 10-13
  • TA intervention (1:1 support)
17 days
Spring term

  • Transition to new school. 3 days dependent on the provision
3 days
Spring/summer term

  • Ongoing support 1 day per half term
2 days Spring/summer term

  • As above plus additional twilight training as requested
17 days/term
