BeyondAutism is delighted to announce that Angus Johnston, who has been acting as Interim Chair of Trustees since February, has now been appointed by the Board as our new permanent Chair.
Angus Johnston joined BeyondAutism as a Trustee in February 2019. He is a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London, retiring later this year, and has had previous charitable experience having acted as Honorary Treasurer for the Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Trust, an educational charity funding post graduate study in the UK.
Angus said of his appointment:
“I am excited to take on the Chairmanship of BeyondAutism. Working with the management team and my fellow trustees, I look forward to building on the fine legacy of Karen Sorab and so many others who have helped create this charity which has done so much to support autistic people and their families.”
Tracie Coultas-Pitman, CEO of BeyondAutism said:
“Angus brings a wealth of financial expertise and existing knowledge of the organisation to the role of Chair. He is focused on ensuring that BeyondAutism continues to deliver the amazing work that it does for many, many years. I look forward to continuing to work with him and the Board at this exciting point in our strategy, to ensure we are leading autism education, achieving reach, and ensuring aspirational outcomes are achieved for autistic children and young adults.”
