North East Autism Society were founded in 1980 by a group of parents who came together to establish Thornhill Park School in Sunderland. Since 1980, the charity has grown rapidly out of a desire to provide a better standard of education for autistic children. The main services provided by the organisation are outdoors/sports activities, residential short breaks, after school clubs, employment support and therapy sessions.
