Leonard Stanley C of E Primary School maintains a happy, secure, Christian environment where each member of the school feels valued and where each pupil acquires a high quality education. The school has the following aims: to work co-operatively as a team in partnership with our playgroup, parents and children; to monitor pupils individual needs and be in the forefront of curriculum development; to maintain a high quality staff and Governing body, extending their skills through training; to practice Christian principles through all school activities, giving high priority to pupil’s motivation, self-discipline and esteem; to regularly monitor and evaluate teaching and learning and raise standards; to provide the best possible working environment for children and staff; and to develop links with the wider community. Leonard Stanley strives hard to ensure that all pupils: have a wide and balanced curriculum which is differentiated to meet individual needs; can learn and make progress according to their individual developmental trends; are assessed using appropriate assessment tools and guidelines; and have equal access to resources, provision and interventions as needed.
