What's been happening at BeyondAutism…

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2012

18th September 2012

We are delighted to have 8 runners in the upcoming Royal Parks Half Marathon which takes place on Sunday 7th October.

We have a wonderful group of runners – including parents, relatives, new supporters of the charity and some who have supported us many times. A big thank you to Andrew Robertson, Heather Binney, Edward Pivcevic, Jukka Tuominen, Chris Chandler, Luke Burton, Rashid Mangia and Jim Ageros for taking up this 13.1 mile challenge to raise money for BeyondAutism.

How can you help them?

Our BeyondAutism team have been spending the past couple of months training hard and they are also doing really well with raising their sponsorship. Each runner has a minimum target of £500. If you’d like to help them on their way and show support for any one of our runners please use the links to their fundraising pages below. If your runner hasn’t set up an online page please feel free to send us a cheque made payable to BeyondAutism, marked for the attention of Lucy Newman to 48 North Side Wandsworth Common, London, SW18 2SL. Please include a note with your cheque indicating which runner you’d like to support with your sponsorship and whether we can claim gift aid on your donation (please include your full name and address if you are a UK taxpayer and we are able to claim).

We are also looking for volunteers to help us support our runners on the day, particularly if you have a friend or relative running the race. The more volunteers to cheer on our runners around the course the better! It’s also a fantastic day out for the family with a food and fitness festival taking place throughout the day (featuring sporting activities, arts & crafts, a farmers market, live music, and lots of giveaways).  If you would like to volunteer please email me by Monday 1st October at lucynewman@beyondautism.org.uk ideally we need you from around 8.30am – 2pm.
